THE SUMMARY OF THE WEEKEND IN MOTOGP

Half of the season is approaching and the riders give the best of themselves at the Assen circuit, Holland.

John made a great progression. He started pretty far from the top to recovering positions as the race progressed until launching his attack at the end. He qualified fifth less than half a second off the podium in an intense and risky race in which he carried out a good strategy.

Kazuki Masaki, After making a good start and first laps, he lost some positions due to an incident on the fifth lap and was forced to regain ground for the remaining of the race. At the end he made a good pace that allowed him to be in the big group that was fighting for the podium positions. He finished the race just three seconds behind the winner.

Makar Yurchenko did a good job during the first day of practices but had some problems in the second. In the qualifying practices he met a lot of traffic on the track and could not progress. During the first third of the race he was dropped from the first group, but despite that, he finished just a single tenth of a second from 15th place.

The Andorran Xavi Cardelús achieved his best result of the season so far. Everything changed when on Saturday KTM gave him an improvement of the chassis that other riders already used. From that moment, Cardelús improved its lap times and began to evolve consistently.

First World Championship points for Lukas Tulovic that made a very consistent race without taking unnecessary risks. In spite of the difficulties of the Moto2 class and the race of Assen, the German demonstrated that he continues growing and consolidating itself in the Moto2 World Championship.
