The Scottish rider John McPhee has not been very lucky in this second grand prix of the season since after being the fastest in FP2 and FP3 and in the first place of the race during the 8th lap, he crashed in the twelfth one and, although he was able to continue It was already without options to approach to the Top15. Kazuki Masaki was placed in the main group when he went down on the seventh lap and lost any chance to get a good result. His fastest lap in the race was the 12th one so, without the incident that forced him to recover positions, he would have had options to achieve a good result.
The young rider Makar Yurchenko covered in Argentina a new stage of his learning season and was improving throughout the different practice sessions with a nineteenth place in FP1 as a best result. A crash during the FP3 prevented him to get a better position in the grid. He made a very consistent race and was just eight seconds behind the points.
